The times where orthodontic appliances impaired the appearance severely are over. Today patients can choose to be treated with esthetic appliances without loss of quality of the result by esthetic appliances:

ceramic brackets - instead of the common metal brackets these brackets are produced from a special tooth colored ceramic material and are therefore much less apparent. Only the archwire that spans all teeth is still made of metal and therefore visible.
